South East Cornwall Tourism Association Privacy Policy

This privacy policy sets out how we use and protect any information that you give to the South East Cornwall Tourism Association (herein after called SECTA) , either directly, through our website, our Facebook page our events booking page, our Green tourism award or our inspection scheme – Quality in Cornwall.

SECTA is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using our websites, booking events or any of our inspection schemes,  then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement. SECTA may change this policy from time to time by updating this page. You should check this page from time to time to ensure that you are happy with any changes. Personally identifiable information such as first and last name, telephone number, email addresses and other information are collected only when voluntarily provided by an employee or SECTA member or member of Green tourism or Quality in Cornwall for registration, event booking or other use on one of our sites.

In this case we treat this information in the same way as if we had received it directly. Any information submitted sent in this way may be stored by the 3rd party according to their privacy policy.

secta.org has entered into and will continue to enter into partnerships and other affiliations with a number of vendors. Such vendors may have access to certain Personally Identifiable Information on a need to know basis for evaluating Authorized Customers for service eligibility. We will also disclose Personally Identifiable Information when reasonably necessary to protect the safety of our Visitors and Authorised Customers.

We may also retain information on paper records and these are held securely by officers of SECTA.

You can request that we erase your personal information. Please note that if you request the erasure of your personal information we may retain and use your personal information to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations.

What happens if the Privacy Policy Changes?

We will let our Visitors and Authorised Customers know about changes to our privacy policy by posting such changes on the Site. However, if we are changing our privacy policy in a manner that might cause disclosure of Personally Identifiable Information that a Visitor or Authorised Customer has previously requested not be disclosed, we will contact such Visitor or Authorised Customer to allow such Visitor or Authorised Customer to prevent such disclosure.
